Building a great persona takes work. It’s grounded in research, tested, and refined until it actually reflects how a real user thinks and behaves. The problem is, that work used to live with whoever created it. Teammates working on their own pulses either had to rebuild the same persona from scratch or use something rougher, just to move forward.
Share personas, keep everyone on the same page
Now, whoever owns a persona can share it with teammates individually or in bulk, so the whole team is working from personas that are already vetted and known to be accurate. No more duplicated effort, and no more guessing whether someone’s persona is the “right” version.
Sharing comes with three roles, so you can control exactly how much access a teammate has:
- Viewer: can view, duplicate, and use the persona in a Pulse.
- Collaborator: everything a Viewer can do, plus the ability to ask the persona questions.
- Editor: everything a Collaborator can do, plus the ability to change the persona for everyone using it.
That range means you can share broadly without losing control. Give most of the team Viewer access so they can put the persona to work right away, and reserve Editor access for the people who should actually be maintaining it.
The bigger win here is consistency. When everyone is pulling from the same set of approved personas, feedback across the team starts from the same foundation. That means less time spent reconciling different versions of “who the user is,” and more confidence that the feedback you’re getting reflects a persona the whole team trusts.
